This is a prayer/prophetic ministry that endeavours to teach about prayer, with an emphasis on hearing the voice of God. This ministry works with individuals, small groups, churches and businesses; supporting them with prayer and counselling that puts what God is saying at the centre.

Listening Ears was conceived in 2008/2009 when the Lord spoke to Sade Kaffo – the founder of Listening Ears – and said ‘I will use you to teach my people how to recognise my voice’ as is referenced in John 10:27 – My sheep hear my voice.

The Lord had said that some of his children think that he doesn’t speak to them and some think that he only speaks to those who have reached a certain “spiritual height”. He said that as a Father, if he did not speak to his children, how would he reassure them of his love for them, how would he teach them, correct them, guide them and discipline them?

So the journey began. We hold prayer sessions to include worship, teaching, testimonies and prayer to facilitate a deeper recognition of what our Heavenly Father is saying, to us, our communities, our church and our nation.

To train people to recognise the voice of God so that they will know their season and advance in life.

  1. To organise gatherings in an atmosphere of praise and worship to connect with God
  2. To facilitate workshops to sharpen people’s hearing of God’s voice for direction in life
  3. To seek the heart of the Father and intercede in relation to those things on His heart
  4. To hold conferences to teach on intercessory prayer

Sade Kaffo has a deep passion for intercessory prayer. She first gave her ear to the Lord in 1981 after reading a Christian book in her bedroom called “Welcome to the Family”. She then asked the Lord as directed by the book to be filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. Ten years later, she had a better understanding of what it meant to be born again and asked the Lord what her purpose was after reading another Christian book called “Keeping Your Dreams Alive”. After that, She had a dream and in that dream, there was a long queue of people and she began to pray for them one by one and told each of them what the Lord had impressed on her heart. When she woke up she said to the Lord “But that was a dream, show it to me in the scriptures!” As she picked up her bible and opened it randomly, it opened to the book of Isaiah but it was chapter 50 and verses 4-5 that caught her eye. It reads: “The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened my ear and I was not rebellious nor did I turn away”
